Teller of tales.
Artist. Writer. Speaker. Performer.
I am a Black-Bermudian and Iban-Malaysian multidisciplinary storyteller. My work as a writer, sculptor, painter, and performer navigates race, nationality, trauma, resilience, spirituality, colonialism and what it means to be a neurodivergent, Black Indigenous Woman of Colour in our world.
I am the founder and CEO of Unstoried, a multimedia entertainment studio that tells the authentic stories of People of the Global Majority. Its Bermuda-focused platform, Unchained on the Rock, chronicles narratives of Black liberation and resistance throughout the Atlantic Basin.
Further updates to my site are on the way, so please come back soon!

“Liana is a fascinating woman and an equally engrossing columnist and blogger... She is the daughter of the late Julian Hall, and his influence had a profound effect on her life - and his death an even greater impact. A talented writer, she is an outspoken advocate for women's rights, mental health care and all those struggling in an imperfect society.”
- The Bermudian, Best of Bermuda Awards
“A beautiful use of materials, meticulously moulded and cut. The nod to Bermuda's heritage through the use of local material enhanced the message, which only became more compelling the longer you stayed with the piece.”
